Baseball does not need instant replay. How many incorrect calls were there during the World Series? Two? That's very good, and one wasn't even questioned since it was just that close of a call. If you want instant replay, then why even have umpires out there? There's enough technology to where computers and camera's can get every shot and call. Is that really what you want?
As for Dye's integrity, I hope you're kidding about that. I don't know if you played baseball or do at all, but I know as a player that if an umpire gives you a call, you will not argue against it. There's a fine line between cheating and taking what is given to you. If you can sell a play, that's not cheating, it's a good play. Had Dye argued at length that he was hit, then that's an attempt to cheat, but if he acts like he was hit, shaking his hands as if he was hit there, that's a sell. Players do this all the time, even in the field players will sell the tag even if they don't tag the player. It doesn't hurt your integrity at all.
